Pretty basic...

This weekend's baby on my hip moment is pretty basic, cooking dinner. Dinner last night was just spaghetti, frozen veggies, and some toasted cheese bread. Boiling water, turning on the microwave, and buttering bread is usually an extremely easy task...last night it was slightly more complicated because Lily was fussy and decided I was the only to calm her down, so I basically did it all with one hand :P

My newest "with a baby on my hip" moment...Crocheting!!! Ah, I wish I could do three things at once. Then I would have taken a picture of it to have proof :P I don't think I'm going to be able to top this one!

Getting started...

So, a while back a friend of mine was teasing me for everything I do while holding my daughter, Lily. My response to him was, "I can do it all with a baby on my hip." Thus became my inspiration for this blog. Everyday there are tasks to be completed anywhere from homework, to cleaning, to cooking. Every minute of everyday my number one priority is Lily, who is 6 months old. There are times when she just wants to be held, and I fulfill that desire for her. Holding her does not stop me from continuing the rest of my day though and each and every day there is something off the wall that I decide I can do with Lily attached to my hip. Today's task, singing! Haha it was absolutely hilarious. Jared has finally gotten me to agree to record music with him. Today was the first, of hopefully many days of singing. Lily was doing really awesome for the first twenty minutes or so, then she was getting kinda fussy and we were going to record once more at the same time instead of separately. I decided to pick her up and throw her on my hip. It was probably the most fun I had singing the entire day. And Jared said it turned out pretty good :P

I really think I can do anything with her on my hip...haha
